Push Pin Fridge Magnet
cults3d
This is a small-scale project that yields a refrigerator magnet from a 10mm diameter x 3mm neodymium magnet shaped like a popular type of thumbtack. I purchased 35 of these magnets on Amazon (US) at https://www.amazon.com/Refrigerator-JACK-CHLOE-Stainless-Approximately/dp/B01MFHNHNW/ for approximately $9.00. The finished parts are about 18.5mm tall and make a great size to hold your notes and such to any metallic surface. To complete the design, you must pause printing when layer 3.5mm off the build plate is completed. If using a Prusa Printer, check out the gcode files at https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/1817-push-pin-fridge-magnet, which will automatically pause the printer and wait for your magnet to be inserted. I have included the Fusion 360 archive for this project so you can create your own using different magnet sizes. I also posted a video here showing how it works and was made: https://youtu.be/lAp39FZbVRQ.
