Push In Queen Cage
cults3d
Push in cage for introducing a new queen to a colony. Print the cap with supports touching bed. One is made where you can cut finishing nails to use for spikes instead of printing them. (works better) The nails that come with hive bodies & a little CA glue works good. Cut the nail 26mm or about 1" long. There should be 10mm sticking out after gluing it in place. Tested on Ritecell plastic foundation and it worked perfect with the nails bottomed out on the plastic. I added some spacers to maintain bee space over the top of the cage while keeping it pressed against the comb on the adjacent frame to prevent the cage from falling off. Glue it on with a little CA.
