I based the design off of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2269715. The forward angle on their model forces the center of gravity towards the desk, keeping the hook securely in place. The issue I addressed with this version is adding a rounded surface for bag handles to hang from and removing the lower "tail" angle. My partner didn't want sharp edges damaging her purse and wanted more surface area for thicker handles. Personally, I apply a thin layer of EVA craft foam, superglued to the bottom of the part touching the table, to prevent slipping and scratching. I printed this with 3 layers at 1.5mm thickness and 30% infill, successfully holding up a 20lb backpack without excessive popping sounds. To print it without supports, lay it on its side during setup.
