The game environment is built around four riders of the apocalypse who must fight off massive armies of medieval knights, archers and clerics. This epic battle takes place in purgatory, a realm situated between the gates of heaven and hell. The landscape itself is composed of concentric circles, with a central circle representing the fiery depths of hell, while the outer circle is inspired by the divine realms above. The players' ultimate goal is to defend the hells gate from invading forces, before launching a devastating assault on the gates of heaven. As they battle through waves of enemies, the riders can collect and spend souls to upgrade their abilities, preparing for an apocalyptic showdown with the forces of light.
