Punch and Judy in Putney, London

myminifactory

This sculpture is part of a notable trail installation featuring nine large sculptures situated along the River Thames at Putney, South London. A picturesque 1.5-mile riverside walk including parkland and piazzas filled with cafes and restaurants showcases the area's beauty. The trail was launched in September 2008, organized by Putney Town Centre Partnership in collaboration with Wandsworth Council. Here, you will discover a substantial body of work by sculptor Alan Thornhill, whose extensive experience with clay evolved from pottery into sculpture. His innovative methods allow for improvisation by dispensing the sculptural armature, while his portraiture challenges conventional notions of normality through meticulous observation. This object is part of "Scan The World," a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory. Through this project, we are creating a comprehensive digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe for public access at no cost. Scan The World is an open-source community effort; if you have intriguing items nearby and would like to contribute, email stw@myminifactory.com to learn how you can participate.
