Pumpkin Skull Beer Tap Handle
thingiverse
I Saw The Pumpkin Skull By Flailingdescent And Immediately Thought It Would Make An Awesome Tap Handle For My Homemade Pumpkin Ale. I Had A Tap Base That I Designed Specifically For Another Project, So I Decided To Join The Two Together In Simplify3d, Exporting It Directly To A .stl File As I Proceed With Printing This Design. As Of Now, I'm Uncertain How It Will Turn Out Since The Process Is Ongoing. My Tap Base Is Engineered To Be Drilled Precisely With A 3/8-16 UNC Drill Tap. Luckily, I Have Brass Inserts On Order, And Soon I'll Update The Design To Include Space For An Insert As Well. Update - When I Finally Printed This Project Out, The Base Actually Split Apart Because It Ended Up Printing In Two Separate Pieces. However, After Adjusting The Settings In Simplify3d By Enabling "Merge All Outlines Into A Single Solid Model" Within The Advanced Tab Under FFF Settings, The Problem Was Resolved And Both Objects Were Successfully Merged Into One Seamless Model. The Final Step Would Be To Tap The Hole In The Base With A 3/8-16 Drill Tap After It Has Been Printed.
