My students collaborated with the Art Club that my wife advises at the elementary school on a project through the MAKER club at our high school, where I serve as advisor. With their input, we empowered 5th-grade students to create and design faces they desired for a unique art piece. Utilizing our Printrbot printer, we were able to print these designs for them with impressive results. Upon witnessing the 3D printer in action, the elementary students showed tremendous enthusiasm and excitement. To ensure they received their artwork just before Halloween, I returned to school and personally attached magnets to each design, delivering them on schedule. It's clear that a new generation of aspiring MAKERs is already drawn into the creative possibilities offered by our club!
