Pulsejet - 50lbs thrust
thingiverse
The design intention is to harness plasma cutting to create plates, rings, and valve petals, in addition to forming sheet metal blanks into intake and combustion chambers through rolling and welding. A large carburetor will be utilized with gasoline to achieve throttle control and ensure a precise air-fuel ratio. To initiate the engine, a shop-vac will be employed at the tail end, as carburetors typically respond poorly to positive pressure like that of a leaf-blower used for starting injector-based pulsejets. DXF files have been created to outline the assembly, using English units and without dimensions yet. Following layout views of sheets, each part profile for cutting has been placed in a separate DXF file for ease of loading into the torch machine software. Included are .step and .iges solid part files for viewing the 3D model in CAD software. The sole reason for uploading the .stl file is to meet Thingiverse's requirement; it's not recommended to attempt 3D printing due to its setup and lack of .stl files for individual pieces.
