Pulse Sensor for Automotive Diagnostics (27mm piezo)
thingiverse
I created this so others can build a homemade pulse sensor. The commercial version is called the "First Look" sensor. I attribute the original homemade design to Youtuber Forklift Geek, who inspired many others to make their own pulse sensors using plumbing fittings. I was going to do just that but I had trouble sourcing the correct size piezo, so I used a pack of 27 mm piezos and made my own housing. I took it further by designing the barb fittings since the brass ones cost ~$4 each. This design is threaded for ¼” mip, allowing you to use them if you prefer. I think this design turned out nicely. I hope it will help and inspire people to take an interest in advanced vehicle diagnostics. This design is not intended for mass production or sale for monetary gain.
