It really can work :-) Thanks K9TURRENT for the photo and the "make". It is glued to perfection. The glue can be broken with heat - a soldering iron, fire, or torch will do the trick. Details are discussed in the English Ender-3 Facebook group: https://m.facebook.com/groups/439904499779979?view=permalink&id=595702564200171 Maybe a combination of this pulley puller and heat could be the solution. If the pulley puller doesn't weaken or melt, that is. It does not work. But I'm not disappointed. We were all unsure from the start if it would work, and now it seems the pulley cannot be pulled off from the shaft. It's heat-shrinked or glued, no doubt about it. Investigations are ongoing to find a way without a Dremel - that's for sure. Sorry for any hopes I might have created and then destroyed. But Creality is to blame for this mess. I've added a version with 6mm bottom thickness because it should fit perfectly. More temperature than usual for better bonding, of course. "Perimeters only" should be the best approach. The 5mm bottom version broke at a test by a German user from the Facebook group. That's not what we wanted to hear. I've added a version with only 5mm bottom thickness because it may not fit after all. The strength might be a little critical, so use "many" perimeters for printing - that's my advice. Please give me feedback on this one. Report from update 2 was based on a modified version with a T-nut that seems to have weakened the item. So it's still untested - no surprise there. Could someone please measure the space between the pulley and the motor? I was told it was 10mm, so I designed it for 8mm space... but maybe that is too thick? There has been one report that the part doesn't stand up to forces. But I don't have more information on the circumstances. I highly recommend printing it as strong as possible - 10 or more walls, higher temperature, stronger filament, higher extrusion width, more flow and overlap... you get the idea. It's still under test and may fail - that's just how it is. So be careful with this one. There seems to be a lot of interest in this part. Please test and give feedback if it works for the Ender-3. Until confirmed, I'll keep it as "work in progress". Creality has "improved" their new Ender-3 by gluing (or pressing?) the pulley on the steppers. That's a problem if you want to use stepper dampeners - the ones with 2 metal plates connected by rubber. This Pulley Puller can help you remove the pulley without damaging the stepper. To make it work, you'll need: 1x M4x20mm bolt with hex head 1x M4 nut Or if you don't have an M4 bolt with a hex head: 1x M4x24mm bolt with "don't matter" head 2x M4 nut This is still a work in progress... My Ender-3 had the old-style pulleys, so no puller was necessary. I received the dimensions from a user of the Facebook group and cannot be 100% sure that there's enough space for the puller. Please test and give me feedback on this one - the strength of the bolt or the whole thing? Don't know, but please let me know!
