Creating a Pulley Model in SolidWorks To construct a pulley model utilizing SolidWorks, start by launching the program and selecting "File" followed by "New," then choose "Part" from the dropdown menu. Next, click on "OK" to begin creating your new part. In the "FeatureManager" design tree, right-click and select "Sketch." In the sketch workspace, draw a circle with the radius corresponding to the desired pulley diameter. To create the hub of the pulley, draw another smaller circle inside the first one. The size of this inner circle should match the bore size of your pulley. Now, switch back to the part environment by clicking on "Part" in the top menu bar. Using the features created in the sketch, extrude the outer ring and the hub separately. To do this, select both sketches, then go to the command manager and choose "Extruded Cut." In the "Extrude" properties dialog box, set the depth to match your pulley's thickness. Also, ensure that the "Up to Surface" option is selected so that only the area below the sketch is cut. To finish the model, select both extrusions and merge them into a single part using the command manager or by right-clicking on one of the parts in the feature tree and selecting "Merge." This will create a solid pulley body.
