pull toy stacking block train
thingiverse
Looking at some of these STL files, I realized I hadn't rotated and saved them as I thought. To get a better print, try rotating the smoke stack 180 degrees. Rotate the boiler 90 degrees straight up and down. This design takes off from Doug and Malissa's Wood Pull Train, which I believe most of the blocks can be transferred to since I scaled it to the best of my ability without having their model in hand. However, I'm unsure. Normally, I wouldn't reveal what program I use to create these models, but this time I'll make an exception as many people have been giving XYZMaker a bad rep simply because they haven't taken the time to learn how to use it. When you know what you're doing, it can hold its own against the most expensive 3D programs. This model was created using XYZMaker. The only place where supports should be used is on the hitch post and stacking post. Leave them off for everything else. Glue will be required on the posts to base, axle to wheels, as there's enough space to use a heavy glue.
