Pull-string reel for the Fiskars Extendable Pole Saw and Pruner

Fiskars manufactures a line of tree pruning tools with extendable reach and a pull string operated pruner. They are popular and effective pruners and a good value. However, the pull string has to be long enough to function at full extension and therefore it becomes a nuisance at shorter, more commonly used extensions. Since the Fiskars pole pruners don't come with any means to deal with the excess pull string or to organize the pull string for storage I created a printable reel that winds up the string for safe storage and quick and convenient access. In addition to the printed parts you will need three bolts and two nuts. If you print the Metric files you will need three M4x30mm bolts and two M4 nuts, or if you print the US files you will need three 6-32x1.25" bolts and two 6-32 nuts. This model works best with round head, pan head or button head machine screws. The bolt that attaches the handle to the rotor should self-tap into the sacrificial ridges in the bolt hole. If it doesn't hold there is a recess in the underside of the reel base to add a third nut that will hold the bolt in place. PLA is a great material to print this with but just about any rigid material should work. I recommend at least 4 perimeters for wall strength. Fuzzy skin is nice for the handle barrels, just make sure to use it on the outside walls only. The rotor in the center of the reel base should spin freely after it's removed from the build plate, if it doesn't it may need to be forced a little to break it loose.Print one (1) each of: "reel_base", "reel_cap", "pole_band", and "handle_arm". Print four (4): "clip". Print two (2) of: "handle_barrel".
