Pukeko Crossing Sign
thingiverse
This is derived from a road sign in New Zealand that indicates places where Pukeko birds are common and therefore may be in the roadway. Pukekos are also known as "Pooks", "purple swamp hens" or "Australasian swamp hens".. Their scientific name is "Porphyrio Melanotus". A friend of mine in NZ sent me a video of one of these foraging off his back porch and I thought the road sign would make a nice refrigerator magnet. There are similar birds elsewhere including Southeast Asia, Australia and the American South. You can open either the black and white or the color sign art in most slicers. Just "copy image" from this listing, save it somewhere and then open it using your slicer. The black and white version is a bit easier to slice though. Adjust the settings to make the background about 2mm thick and the raised (dark) portions to be about 4mm thick. This makes it easy to flood the background with paint and then to touch up the high spots. Alternatively, I have included an .stl and .3mf files if you prefer to open it that way. Please be aware though that the .stl file in particular is quite large because I had to export it from Cura. I hope you like this, and thanks for looking.
