Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful YearsMad eye Moody Stage prop. Designed by a award winning high school special effects team. This is a take on the classic "cookie Monster googly eye" Much funnier than a big googly eye. This is a stage prop. This is massively oversized and lacking fine detail. Remember the 30 foot rule for stage. Print base in white (or paint)Print pupil in black (do not paint) Pick the large or smaller pupil depending on how it looks on your stage. I used the larger one it spins better. Paint rim of base in gold. Use a very small screw to set pupil on base, not to tight. It should spin very freely, almost no force at all. Bend some stiff wire (copper is fine) in a U shape and force it in the holes on the side. Super glue in holes on side of base. This makes a metal loop so you can tie some elastic bands (doubled up works best) to the copper loops. You can put some felt on the back or foam of the base depending on the actors comfort. With a little practice the actor will be able to spin it around like cookie monster. This will get a bunch of laughs from the audience who are in on the gag. When its the real mr moody part have them go wild with it. Our actor ad libd a line of " Yea Spooooky " when explaining about giant spiders, and spun it around very quickly. The entire audience was laughing. print any filament , no support needed. Rescale should work fine.
