Collaborative architectural magic courtesy of Japan-based Nippon design programme comes alive in East China Architectural Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd's inspired designs as groundbreaking museum construction kick-started back in September 2007. Fast-forwarding through time to its eventual unveiling in 2010, this modern edifice showcases an area of roughly three hectares, solidly backing a grand total investment of an impressive 850 million yuan coupled with expansive construction footprint spanning a magnificent 60,885 square meters, able to comfortably house approximately two million volumes, provide about 3,000 plush reading nooks and promise up to six thousand people attending simultaneous book lovers gatherings. Visually striking from its pure minimalistic architectural style, the building's clean geometric lines evoke a sense of six separate spaces seamlessly combined across ground level and below in one unbroken span. Total height majestically measures an astonishing 36 meters high into the air, boasting availability between the times of nine o'clock in the morning and seven nineteen PM, every single day.
