PublicLab Spectrometer evo 2
thingiverse
The PublicLabs Lego Spectrometer has undergone significant evolution, resulting in a more compact design that incorporates an extra insert to support the CD sourced diffraction grating. This updated model maintains a closely aligned base and cuvette holder, ensuring optimal functionality while minimizing light leaks through the lid. This redesign adheres to the Public Labs model, which can be viewed at https://publiclab.org/wiki/lego-spectrometer. The creation of this spectrometer was facilitated by Tinkercad, an online platform that enables users to bring their designs to life. Visit https://www.tinkercad.com/things/ftzQfsURk1l to explore the design in further detail. In recent updates, several improvements have been implemented: on 27 March, alternative holding pieces for a Pi camera were added, and minor adjustments were made to the body's design. Just four days later, on 29 March, an additional variant featuring an RPi camera mount inset was introduced.
