This remix of @3dexplorer's exceptional Involute Parameterized Gears has been optimized for speed, allowing gears to be generated much faster. The original code creates a complex implicit union of multiple three-dimensional linear extrudes. By drawing several polygons in 2D and then applying a single linear extrude at the end, this revised approach is significantly faster.
