Publia Fulvia Plautilla
myminifactory
This is a remarkably well-preserved marble bust from ancient times depicting Plautilla (c. 185/188/189 – 211), the wife of Roman emperor Caracalla, her paternal second cousin. Following her father's condemnation for treason, Plautilla was forcibly exiled and ultimately met a tragic end, possibly at the hands of her husband Caracalla himself. She was also connected to Julius Caesar's first spouse Cornelia through family ties.
