PTFE Tube Guillotine Cutter
thingiverse
Getting a precise 90-degree cut on PTFE tubing can be an extremely frustrating task. If it's not perfectly executed, you're essentially inviting leakage, which is never acceptable under any circumstances, especially within a 3D printer hotend. You could disassemble the heatblock and trim the tubing flush against the metal sleeve, but that requires disassembling the entire hotend, which isn't exactly enjoyable either. What you really need is the PTFE Tubing Guillotine! Simply slide your tubing through the hole until it snugly fits inside the rear pocket, then slice. It's incredibly straightforward. You'll require a 25mm (1") long 3mm bolt, a 3mm nut, and at least two 6mm long 3mm bolts as well as a standard Stanley-type knife blade. **UPDATE** As requested, I've added another version of the base that features the PTFE tubing hole cut all the way through to facilitate easy removal of the scrap piece. This is v3 of the base. **UPDATE PART 2** As requested, I've added another version of the base that includes a 45-degree angle guide in addition to the straight-through guide. This is the v4 of the base. **NOTE** Due to either a Thingiverse bug or (more likely) shadowbanning, my models no longer appear under the [Newest] listings.
