So after trying a few existing PTFE beveling and cutting jigs, even though they mostly get the job done, I got an ideas for improvement and needed to implement them. So here's my take on cutting and beveling PTFE tubes.

The jig consist of two parts for the body and two screws that clamp the parts together. The body part has the slots for the cutting blade.

The PTFE tube is inserted to the tube holder, which in turn is sandwiched between the two body parts. The PTFE tube is locked in place with the nut part that has tapering thread, so when tightened it clamps the PTFE tube in place. Note that at least PETG gets quite sticky to turn so bit of lubricant on the nut thread might help. Or print the nut with PLA or ABS.

Now when the PTFE tube, tube holder and body parts are in place, first cut the straight end and then bevel the end if needed by inserting the blade and turning the tube holder.

How I Designed This

Designed with OpenSCAD.
