The device in question is a PTFE/Bowden tube plug. It features a stem that tapers from 2.5mm down to approximately 1mm, allowing it to fit securely within the tube. Even those who opt to open their tubes with a hole punch reamer will find this plug fits snugly. This file was not intended to account for shrinkage. PLA material shrinks at a rate of about 2% as it cools.
