The ELCO 80' Motor Torpedo Boat PT 123 was launched on 31st July, 1942, with a displacement of 38 tons and a length of 80'. It had a beam of 23', a draft of 5', and a speed of 41 kts., which is equivalent to 47 mph. The boat was armed with a 40mm Bofors gun, two 20mm Oerlikon guns, twin .50 cal Brownings, and four Mark XIII Torpedoes. It had a crew of 12 members and was powered by three Packard engines producing 1350hp each. Unfortunately, it was destroyed by enemy aircraft on 1st February, 1943. The boat's captain spent 36 hours floating alone in his life jacket before being rescued. His father was on this boat and passed away fifty years later, reflecting that everything since '43 had been a bonus. There are two models available: PT Complete which includes ocean, wake, and renders; and PT No Seas, which only includes the boat and crew without water, tracers or other distractions. The 40mm Bofors gun was designed by ben D., while the 20mm Oerlikon gun was adapted from a model by Alexander. The crew members were sourced from Distressed American's 3D Warehouse and retextured to fit naval use.
