Laser-cut stand for PSVR headset and controllers is designed with precision. Built from 3mm acrylic, the stand features captive nuts secured by M3X16 bolts. Although assembly may require some patience, the finished product proves sturdy once completed. A design critique suggests that the presence of too many fixings could be improved upon, but removal of unnecessary components is always an option. The headset hangs effortlessly from the front panel, with ample space to accommodate two move controllers and a standard PlayStation controller on the rear. The headset cable can be neatly tucked away behind the stand, while charger cables for the controllers can be fed through the back. Originally designed for 3mm acrylic due to availability of spare materials, this design should also work well in 3mm plywood. However, if cutting thicker materials, modifications will be necessary to accommodate the increased thickness. The design was optimized for a limited cutting area on a Chinese laser cutter, resulting in a multi-piece assembly. Redesigning with fewer pieces would require a larger cutting surface, but this is a feasible solution.
