PSVR 2 Prescription Lens Adapter
thingiverse
This is my design for a prescription lens adapter for the PSVR 2. It is based on a remix of the PSVR2 Lens Protector" designed by Lowfategg combined with previous work that I did on a lens adapter for the Varjo Aero. This adapter uses the Zenni Aviator Style lenses rather than the round Zenni lenses used by many other 3D printable lens adapters. The wider lens design works better for supporting the lens without obstructing the eye tracking mechanism on the PSVR2. These also happen to be the same lenses used by the 3D printable adapter for both the Varjo Aero and the Pimax 8XK, just in case you happen to have those on hand. Here is the link to the lenses you'll need. https://www.zennioptical.com/p/full-rim-metal-alloy-with-spring-hinge/4189?skuId=418912 ___NOTE:__ When you order lenses, you need to select an IPD of __65mm__ rather than your own individual IPD. This will ensure that the optical center of the Zenni lenses will align with the optical center of the PSVR 2 lenses when mounted in the adapters. The base version of these adapters has only a fraction of a mm of clearance between my prescription lenses and the PSVR lenses. For individuals with higher prescription lenses than mine, this may be too close, so I've uploaded two additional variations with +2mm clearance and +4mm clearance. Pick the lowest profile version that gives your prescription lenses enough clearance so that they don't touch the PSVR lenses. I tested this by verifying I could slide a piece of paper between the lenses with no resistance. **UPDATE 4/11/2023**: Uploaded a version that *should* support the round Zenni lenses. I no longer own the PSVR2, so it's not possible for me to test this file and I have not actual attempted to print it, but it's a clean STL, so it should print fine. This is just a mashup of the base of my original PSVR2 adapter and the top of my Reverb G2 adapter, which uses the round Zenni lenses. If you don't already own Zenni round lenses, I recommend getting the Zenni Aviator lenses and printing the original adapter, however, if you do already own the round lenses, feel free to print the round version and give it a try. If it works, just let me know in the comments so others will be aware. Just mirror the model to get both left and right eyes.
