PSU Ratchet Holder
prusaprinters

Some time ago I built the printer housing from Ondřej Stříteský, among other things to be able to print with ABS/ASA. As suggested, I decided to mount the printer's power supply unit outside the housing and initially did this with Ondřej's mounting parts.

Since I occasionally run the printer outside of the housing - for example for maintenance purposes - I first provided the cable connections inside and outside the housing with plugs. It then turned out that removing the PSU is quite cumbersome and that the holes in the LACK-"cardboard" are gradually tearing out.

For this reason I have designed an alternative power supply suspension that allows the power supply to be detached from the housing quickly, easily and without any tool.

My parameters:

printed on MK3S+ with Prusament PETG (here white and black),

0.2 mm layer spacing

30% gyroid infill

printing time about 6 1/2 hours

small, easy-to-remove support stanchions on the top piece to catch the overhang.

For your convenience, I added my Fusion 360 draft.

By the way, I used these old HDD/DVD (Molex-) plugs for power supply connection and JST-plugs for the Power-Panic-cable and for powering my OctoPi as shown in the last picture.
