PSU Case
thingiverse
#### This is a simple case for a switch mode PSU. I needed a 24V 10A PSU for my [mini belt grinder](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5424446) after the cheap laptop-style 5A PSU went pop while I was using it. These switch mode PSUs are easily available and good value for money. You just need enough case to keep fingers away from mains voltage - and that's what this is. Some design notes: * The case is designed for a snap-fit IEC connector (Inalways Fused and Switched IEC Inlet Prewired 1.0mm) * The DC output uses a 2-pin GX20 connector because isn't that just much cooler than a typical barrel jack? (and there's more space to solder decent sized wires) * The case is held together with 3 x M3 screws * The PSU is held in place by the screwed-down cover bearing against 2 retainers which rest in the ventilation holes in the PSU case * The LED is a high brightness blue one - it needs a 1k resistor (but do your own sums for your LED) ####Full Fusion 360 model included to make remixes easy.
