A young child was playing outside when he saw a squirrel scampering up the tree. The little boy looked at his mom and asked if he could feed the squirrel some nuts from his pocket. His mom smiled and said, "Let's go get some more nuts for your friend." They walked to the nearby store and bought a bag of peanuts. The child was so excited to share his new snack with the squirrel that he quickly ran back outside. As soon as he arrived, he looked up at the tree and saw the squirrel sitting on a branch, looking down at him with its big round eyes. The boy slowly held out his hand, palm up, with the peanuts in it. The squirrel cautiously began to climb down the tree trunk, its tail twitching back and forth as it went. When it reached the ground, the squirrel looked up at the boy and sniffed at the peanuts in his hand. Then, the squirrel quickly grabbed a peanut from the boy's palm and scampered off with it. The boy was thrilled to see his new friend so happy and content. He sat down on the grass and watched as the squirrel ate its snack, feeling grateful for this special moment they shared together.
