PSB M4U replacement headband (simple)
thingiverse
I absolutely adore my PSB m4u 2 headphones, but unfortunately, their construction is seriously flawed. What initially appeared as minor cracks eventually led to a completely broken headphone. Considering it's an expensive pair and I'm struggling to find a suitable replacement since I use them daily, it was time for a makeshift solution. As I was searching for a fix, I discovered that my printer could come in handy. I decided to print a new headpiece for my headphones using my FlashForge Creator Pro 3D printer. The print settings were as follows: the brand is FlashForge, the specific model is the Dreamer, rafts are not necessary, supports are enabled, resolution is set at 0.2mm, infill density is 30%, and I printed it in four layers for added sturdiness. After printing, I carefully post-processed the holes by running a 2mm drill through them manually or with some pliers. I also used a 1.5mm drill to enlarge the screw sockets on the aluminum parts. If the hinge is giving you trouble, don't worry - just use a file to smooth it out. I designed this headpiece using Fusion360, taking into account the precise measurements and intricate details required for a seamless fit. With these modifications, my headphones are now virtually perfect, with screws fitting snugly in place and staying securely attached.
