8-27-2024 New models up:WD Black Case Base Beta 18 and WD Black Hanger Beta 16 are the two newest and have updated the print pics and instructions.I have redesigned the case to have an arched view window to reduce supports needed.The new hanger keeps the case to the middle top of the case so it and cords can be easily reached.New case now sits off the ps5 a bit more to allow more air on the back.Imprinted icon at the bottom to match your PS5 and less print errors.If you like this print please leave a donation to help support future updates and model makes.Details:New Model Detials: I suggest print at 100% for a more solid feel but it works just fine at 15%.Print case vertical and hanger flat on its back as in the stl.The hanger must be printed at 100% no matter what. If your printer doesn't automatically set it to that because of layer height then change it.Needs minor supports. I suggest using organic, off build plate only and try to highlight angles above 41% to see where to paint. Place them under the main window arch. Also when you print the hanger place suppots under the overhangs that hold it to the PS5. (See pic w supports.) Make sure the slots that the hanger goes into on the case are clear and if needed sand the small rectangle extensions from the hanger itself that go into the hanger slots till it slides in snug. After that make sure you apply appropriate plastic/super glue and reconnect.Please PM me if have an idea or instruction on how I could make this better. Any unauthorized derivitives will be flagged for removal.Old Model Detials: Really wanted something that held my WD Black HDD securely to the side of my PS5. I had seen others and got some good ideas on what to include and made my own design. This HDD holder won't let your HDD slide our of either side, has space to run cords so you can mount it on either side, and the included hanger holds it nice and close to the side of your PS5. Yes it can work for other HDD's but it must be at least or under 124mm x 20mm with the usb connector on either end. This is a work in progress as the hanger may need some sanding and make sure you glue it facing the correct side. It will also work over most silicon covers as you can see in the pic. If you want the PS5 logo blue and your slicer supports color change just set it to change right after the first layer of the logo and it looks really nice. Contact me first if you might want to make a derivative otherwise no derivatives.100% solid would be best but you can make it just fine at 15%. However make the hanger 100% solid no matter what.Please leave helpful feedback and only ask questions pertaining to the model.Second hanger made for orig design. I have not printed / tested it but leave me some feedback. It is only 45mm long vs the 75mm original.
