I prepared a pack of three PS5 dual sense controllers (https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/electronics/other/ps5-dualsense-controller), each carefully crafted with unique details to justify their individual prices. Building the 3D model for the PS5 controller involved scouring the internet for references, which were scarce but provided a solid foundation to create an accurate replica. I aimed to capture its essence, down to the smallest detail, to ensure that my design would be as close as possible to the real thing. To optimize performance and reduce polygon count, I applied materials strategically to minimize unnecessary details while maintaining the model's overall quality. This approach also makes it suitable for close-up renders where every detail counts. I built the main model in 3ds Max 2020, utilizing its advanced features to achieve a high-quality design with 44,618 vertices. However, I also included an optimized version of the file, attached as a .3DS extension, which has fewer vertices and polygons, ideal for non-close-up renders. To avoid increasing the vertex count, I employed opacity on the left and right buttons, allowing users to make minor edits if needed. The model's high-poly version is designed for close-up renders, while the lower-poly version is perfect for optimizing performance in scenes where detailed modeling isn't necessary. For rendering, I utilized Iray, but V-Ray rendering is also possible using the provided output materials. No post-processing was applied to the renders, ensuring that the final result accurately reflects the model's design. The resolution of the materials is 4K size, allowing users to edit and adjust them as needed. The file formats included are 3ds Max 2017 V-Ray (as a preview), 3ds Max 2020 V-Ray (as a preview), 3DS (polygons: 21,838/vertices: 16,623), OBJ (quads), and FBX.
