PS5 Controller Generic Interface Frame/Platform
thingiverse
I developed this snap-on interface for another project to make a racing/steering wheel. Existing models were loose and imprecise, so I created this to provide a tight, solid, and accurate attachment for the PS5 controller. This snaps on from the rear/bottom and has a protruding ridge on the front/top side that is designed to fit in the gap between the touch controller and the controller body. The protruding ridge prevents the touch controller from being pushed down accidentally, and it also stabilizes the frame to prevent movement. The rear side of the top section is flared to nestle in between the RH and LH joystick humps, further improving steadiness. There are 3 holes/perforations: one in the front/top for the USB-C jack, one on the top for the PS button, and one on the back/bottom for the headset plug. For best printing, print the frame on one of the flat sides. No supports are needed, but be aware that without the supports, the holes/perforations might have some minor blobbing. I printed this in generic PLA on a stock/unmodified Anycubic Vyper with 0.15mm layers and 50% infill - it took about one hour to print. Very little post-processing is needed, just smoothing off for aesthetics. Please feel free to use this in any of your projects, no attribution required. Enjoy! p.s.: Some possible projects that this frame might be good for: - Lego studs could be added to hold your favorite minifig - A small phone holder so you're never far from the fondleslab - A gopro camera mount to record your gaming prowess - A USB-C power-bank holder to boost the internal battery ...and many more...
