PS3 Controller Mod

This is a Custom Mod I designed for a PlayStation 3 controller. This mod reconfigures the square, triangle, circle and X keys so that you can keep your right thumb always on the joystick at all times. I aimed to make the parts as straightforward as possible for ease of assembly and printing. To fully assemble the controller mod you will need five 6-32 bolts and five 6-32 lock nuts. I chose 1.5 inch long bolts and trimmed them to the right size. Print Settings Printer Brand: Robo 3D Printer Model: R1 ABS + PLA Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Infill: 25% Post-Printing I carefully crafted all the holes for the bolts snugly tight to reduce slop and wobble around the bolts and give a smooth playing experience. Since the holes are snug, some needed a little sanding to allow the bolt to slide through easily. So I used a small round file to open up the bolt holes slightly. Assembly Step 1 Secure the base and main body parts together as shown with glue. Step 2 Assemble the square button onto the main body and apply super glue in the square button socket, then place the square presser into the socket on the Square button. Put glue around the top of the square button socket. Hold the square presser arm flat on the main body surface for a few minutes to allow super glue to set. Then secure the square pad onto the end of the arm. Step 3 Bolt on the triangle lever securely. Step 4 Bolt on the O lever firmly. Step 5 Bolt on the X button tightly. Step 6 Slide the controller mod onto your PS3 controller and insert the last bolt through the holes between the joysticks, then tighten it snugly.
