PS3 Controller Holder for Side of Monitor
thingiverse
I got frustrated with my controller constantly falling off my desk when I wasn't using it, so I decided to design a mount that would securely hold it next to my old Dell monitor. The mount's angle and size should fit a variety of monitors, not just mine. This is my first project on this platform, and while the design may look a bit rough and possibly too thick for its purpose, it effectively holds both my PS3 controller and my monitor in place. I printed the mount at 0.28mm resolution to get a quick result, which was satisfactory given my expectations. The mount attaches securely to my monitor using M3 by 12mm bolts that fit between the fins at the back of the display. Although the print didn't align perfectly with the holes, two of them are holding fine. You may need to drill holes in your monitor's casing to install this mount. If so, use a 2.5mm drill bit to create threads for the bolts as they go in. I've included some photos showing the mount securely attached to my monitor.
