This is a modification that enables me to utilize the wheel on an older cabled PS2 controller. I sourced an inexpensive bearing from a 3D printer extruder roller. The bearing's dimensions are: ID 0.249", OD 0.625" and 0.197" tall, plus I added some extra height to the yoke that grasps the joystick.
