After my modified ATX PSU on my Printrbot Simple Metal conked out, I knew it was time to swap it out for an aftermarket 12V, 30A switching PSU. The "Most Popular" choice on Amazon, or so they claim. As a typical Maker/User, I needed to fabricate or download a cover for the power connections - no easy feat. Big mistake: I assumed that my Anet A8 Kit PSU would be identical to the replacement I'd ordered. Boy, was I wrong! So, here's what I came up with: a cover that incorporates the switch from my trusty old ATX PSU (rated at 10A), and features plenty of ventilation slots for optimal airflow. You can even access those pesky power connections from the top - just don't forget your screwdriver!
