What I like about the cookies made by this cutter is the universal design - any 3D printing fan will recognize them easily and the rest of the family will see a nice cookie with snowflake-ish pattern. But wait, there is moore! Who said you can't use a spool cookie cutters as an actual spool? Print Spool Hub of appropriate size to connect two cutters to create a mini Prusament spool. Why would you do that? To collect and reuse all the gift ribbons and strings that are going to be everywhere after Christmas. Reusing used things thanks to the reused thing, yay :)  PrintingUse any settings that works for you. Models are optimised to work with 0.4 nozzle, but others should works fine. Just make sure to remove any stringing because you don't want that stuff in your cookies. For the Cutter: I would suggest to crank up the perimeter count to 10 or whatever to make the outer ring completly solid. It's going to be stronger and will be printed quicker than infilling with top/internal/bottom infill. For the Hub: Set perimeter count to 2 and infill 0% to prevent the printer messing around the ribs too much. To make this cutter work with any dough/recipe I created a bunch of models, each one for a specific dough thickness (suffix of the filename). The cutter is designed to emboss 2mm deep into the dough, to emboss 1mm deep make the dough thinner by 1mm. There is also a Fusion360 file uploaded so you can customize it as you wish. For a quick edit use these parameters:ParameterNotesdoughThicknessMinimum: 3mmHexagon pattern is designed to emboss 2mm deep into the dough.spoolWidthMinimum:  6mmInner width. By changing doughThickness the Hub ribs changes too.spoolHubToleranceHow bigger is the Hub to create a tight fit.Negative number makes the Hub smaller.  BakingAny grandma's recipe will work just fine. Use plenty of flour under the dough to prervent sticking during cutting. Press the cutter into the dough and gently twist it. You can decorate the cookies as you wish or leave them as they are. Pro tip: put a candy into the hole before baking - as the candy melts it will fill the hole and create an stained glass effect. Or put a dyed filling between two cookies to simulate a wound filament. Happy printing, baking and eating!
