Mods to the original design to 1: Move mounting holes to align bridge and pickups with neck2: Change cavity depth to accommodate current (2023) Thomann pickups3: Put mounting holes to work with the 2023 Thomann bridge 4: Add mounts for strap pins. These have flat surfaces so they didn't distort the body as you tighten them up. I used M4 countersunk bolts and nyloc nuts on the strap pins.5: Mods to the the jack socket mount so it has flat surfaces and doesn't distort when tightening up. Build notes:Used superglue to connect the PLA core sections together and the PETG hexagonal body sections together (Gorilla brand because it's slightly viscous and has a nice dispenser).I didn't glue the body to the core. I dislike gluing dissimilar materials and the M3 bolt holes in the design are plenty strong enough. They also give the option of changing bits without getting rid of the whole body. Used a tapping tool to put threads in the holes that fit the hexagons to the core. Bolting it together using hex heads was fiddly but gave a really neat finish.I also used button head bolts for the jack. I'm sure you could use the screws that come with the kit, I just liked my finish better.I hope that doesn't put you off. It reads as more complex than it was to do.
