From Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:12151), I found an impressive concept but was concerned about tightening the outer nut without a nut on the other side of the thin plastic piece. To resolve this, I extended the design for its entire length and increased thickness in the vertex clamp area. However, this modification requires more plastic than the original version and doesn't allow the use of large washers due to space constraints in the vertex area.
