I stabilize my Pi cam on the Z axis of the MK3 printer. I deliberately chose not to mount it on either the Y or X axes. After several rounds of revisions, the pictures show version 2.1 in ABS plastic, with a greatly extended ball and additional support to minimize camera shake.
