This is a versatile baseplate designed specifically for pairing with the micro x-carriage found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:972856. To detach this x-carriage base, simply undo three screws and it comes right off. With the extruder/hotend removed, the micro x-carriage keeps the x-axis belts precisely tensioned. This baseplate allows you to seamlessly mount prusa i3-based extruder/hotend combinations on a prusa v2. It boasts the same mounting hole patterns as the prusa i3 rework or a wade's extruder, making it an ideal choice for enthusiasts. The hole pattern spacing was carefully taken from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:586636. How I Designed This I've included the freecad files for your reference. The assembly file serves as a visual aid to demonstrate how all the components fit together. Meanwhile, the other file was used to meticulously design this part.
