Prusa Swing Camera Mount (for a ring camera)

I was determined to avoid using Octoprint on my Prusa, so I opted for a ring camera instead to capture video of my print and display screen in action. This ingenious setup uses thru bolts to mount directly on top of the Prusa Ikea Lack enclosure, providing a secure hold. The camera can be easily swung out of the way when accessing the printer, thanks to its clever design. I designed a back plate that acts as a massive washer, providing essential support for the print table top. To avoid interfering with the spool holder, I mounted mine just off to the left side. Now, I can monitor my printer's progress in stunning HD on my phone and take control of its operation remotely if needed. A smart things plug was also added, allowing me to "pull the plug" and halt a print at any moment. The design features holes in the corners for small zip ties to keep wires neatly organized. The camera holder keeps the ring camera securely in place even when it's inverted, as this particular camera is meant to be mounted statically. This setup was designed with a 2.75-inch gap between the edge of the enclosure and the camera arm to ensure optimal support. If you'd like to adapt this design for use with a different style camera, I've included the fusion file in case it comes in handy. This creation was specifically tailored for use on a Prusa MK3S printer. Here are the hardware specifications: For the hinge, a 1/4-inch x 1-inch bolt paired with a nylock nut is recommended. The arm supports can be secured using #8x1 inch machine screws. To attach the camera mount, drill into the plastic and use #4x1/2 inch wood screws. For mounting the base, #10x2.5 inch machine screws are suitable. The camera holder requires #8x1 3/4 inch machine screws to secure it in place.
