grabcad

This educational DIY 3D printer has no 3D printed, CNC milled, or laser cut parts to lower costs. It's based on a Prusa i3 style design for educational purposes and features belt-driven Y and X axes, and a Z axis driven by two NEMA 17 motors with lead screw rods. LM8UU linear bearings, MK1 heated bed, and an MK8 extruder (using 1.75 filament, 0.2mm nozzle) are included. The printer is mostly made of corner brackets available globally for easy procurement. It's lightweight and rigid. Bills of materials and additional versions with updates like cooling systems, LCD displays, and RAMPS Arduino MEGA are forthcoming. Currently, STP and CATIA V5 files are available. For more information or assistance, feel free to leave a comment or send a private message. The project required over 200 hours of work, and renderings were made in KeyShot.
