Prusa Steel - Y Axis End Caps, Bearing Clamps, Belt Tension
thingiverse
Decided to revamp Prusa Steel after experiencing issues with Igus Bearings, specifically Y Axis Shifting and slight misalignment with linear drive on the Y Axis shafts. To eliminate any variation, decided to switch back to classic bearings. Heated up M3 nuts using a soldering iron and pressed them into their locations. Used all original screws except for those used on the belt clamp, which were replaced with M3 x 20mm screws. The belt clamp made tensioning the belt significantly easier, but had to be done with the heatbed removed. Plan to design an adjustable tensioner next.
