Prusa Ship's Wheel Control Knob for MK3S

Prusa Ship's Wheel Control Knob for MK3S

A replacement control knob designed to look like a traditional ship's wheel. Sail your printer as it makes its next Benchy!

It's offset from the front panel so there's plenty of space to get your finger in to press the reset button if you need to.

When printing this, I chose to print it with the display face uppermost to get the best finish on the visible face. To do that needed supports. I tried the PrusaSlicer generated ones but they were awful (you can see them in the last photo) so I switched to using Cura for this model and printing with Tree Supports. I've included the Cura project file (in case you want to try switching it to another filament type - it would look great with a wood fill one I imagine!) and also the gcode I used to make the wheel. Note that cura gcode files don't produce a remaining time estimation, but it took about 50 minutes to print.

As usual, I've included a STEP file of the model in case you want to edit it in any way.
