Prusa Protective Shield REMIX for Vase Mode printing
prusaprinters
I remixed prusa's headband face shield to permit vase mode printing using 23g of plastic and a print time of 61 minutes at a sedate 50mm/s print speed on any 200x200 printer out their rapidly strongly and cleanly. I have sample Gcode but this site does not accept my sliced gcode. I don't use prusa slicer I use simplify 3d. if you want ready to go gcode (for petg) find this on thingiverse. This works fine in PLA but remember the head band is "one time use" in PLA as you can't really clean it effectively and hospitals likely can't accept PLA as they can't sanitize it (alcohol bleach etc..) Print instructionsOtherwise. 0.4mm nozzle. vase mode Extrusion multiplier of 1.5 or 0.5mm nozzle extrusion multipler of 1.3 Should work with a 0.6mm nozzle at 1.0 but the vase mode breaks for some reason. just print with slicer configured for 0.5mm nozzle and EM of 1.3 (which is 0.6mm extrusion) if your slicer balks at 0.6mm nozzle sizes. First layer slow make certain it sticks. you can use a brim but then you have clean up to do. get the first layer right and there is 0 clean up. 1 perimeter spiralized/vase mode NO top and bottom layers.
