This is a custom filament buffer designed specifically for the Prusa i3 mk3s/mmu2s.\r\n\r\nThe standard Prusa filament buffer can be quite finicky to use. It's often tricky to get a good grip on the filament, making it hard to guide it into the output PTFE tube after insertion. Furthermore, feeding the filament through long PTFE tubes is a real challenge.\r\n\r\nWith this improved buffer in place, inserting and feeding forward the filament becomes an effortless process. Additionally, I've found that it generates significantly less resistance due to friction and poses a lower risk of filament breakage for sensitive materials like ColorFabb brassfill and similar compounds. As a bonus, it takes up less space, making it perfect for wall-mounted applications.
