UPDATE #3 05.09.2019 - For the latest solution using this bracket see https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3845698 My approach to a wall-mounted spool holder for the Prusa i3 Mk3 with MMU2 unit is straightforward. I had three key requirements in mind - 1) it should be fully 3D printed, 2) it should be robust, and 3) it should work. To print this design, you'll need to create six Filament Racks and lay them flat on the bed. Two will fit on a Mk3 bed at a time. Next, print five Filament Spools vertically. You'll also need to print six pairs of Filament Guide Upper and Lower components, rotating their flat edges to lie flat on the bed. Additionally, you'll require five sets of Filament Guide Spindle and Filament Guide parts. These are based on an idea from PRUSA MMU2 Wall mount spool holder by ad_lamy https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3107842 . I'm incorporating his concept of inserting 150mm long PTFE tubes into each Filament Guide to allow the filament to loop out when being pushed back (not shown in images). To assemble this design, you'll need: * 10 M3 x 20 Stainless Socket Cap screws for the ends of Filament Guide Spindles * 12 M3 Stainless Full Nut screws for Filament Guide Clamps * 12 M3 x 10 Stainless Socket Cap screws for Filament Guide Clamps * Wallplugs and screws as needed UPDATE 23-10-2018 - I've added 10mm shorter Filament Guide Spindle and Filament Spool versions. Use these instead of the standard ones to reduce each spool bay width by 10mm, resulting in a narrower overall assembly. The standard size has brackets at 125mm centers, while the reduced version is at 115mm centers. The overall width of the complete standard version is approximately 650mm, while the shorter version measures around 600mm. Each standard spool bay can accommodate up to 105mm wide spools, whereas the shorter version allows for up to 95mm wide spools. UPDATE #2 23-10-2018 - User ElmoC has kindly provided two printable drilling guides to aid in correctly spacing wall brackets, one for each width version.
