Please see exploded view of the holder for details. <b>UPDATE (Dec 8th, 2018):</b> While testing the spool holder I noticed the filament inner loop in unloaded state is too close to the back of Coil Stand. To avoid filament snapping from the stand guide there is a screw with a guide/limiter to replace the screw on the back side of the stand. This spool holder is a replacement for original Prusa holders supplied along with MMU2.0 One of the issues with original holders is filament slack handling. In general it just coils in front of the holder in totally uncontrolled way. And if the real estate dedicated for the printer is in shortage, those coils will tangle and as the result create mess and interfere with everything around. And it is exactly what happens on my table. To get around I decided to take the coiling under control. This spool holder is designed to neatly store the slack on the side of the spool and allow smooth and steady feeding of the filament to the printer. To thread filament through the contraption, start from pushing the filament through the hole closest to the stand base and up around the filament wheel. Make two loops around the wheel and then out through the outside hole. Use provided tube connector in case the original tube is not long enough. It is important to make loops from inside out and avoid crisscrossing. This thing is compatible with its source, and some of the parent parts can be reused here. The stands need support around screw recesses to be printed properly. In total each holder requires: - 1 base stand, - 1 coil stand, - 1 rail, - 1 filament guide, - one of the guide tube connectors, - 1 filament wheel, - 6 axis screws, or 5 axis and 1 with a guide, - 2 flat nuts, - 4 axis nuts, - 4 axis spacers, - 1 enlarged axis spacer, - 4 spool wheels, - 5 608 ball bearings, - 1 of 5 number plugs.
