When installing the MMU2, I faced a challenge: the required 40cm distance between the filament spools and the printer was a major hurdle. This meant setting up an entire table just for printing! However, I decided to reuse my filament dryboxes, but needed to enhance filament guidance. The outcome is a space-saving setup for the Prusa i3 MK3 / MMU2 that's ready to use with multiple filaments. I can now choose from 5 materials stored in 24 slots within 6 Samla IKEA dry boxes. As I uploaded this text to Thingiverse, I stumbled upon a similar solution for the filament holder using slightly different pneumatic fittings: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3162971.
